As someone who lived in London full time or most times, shuttling back and forth between the years AD 1999-2004, I knew that something was wrong. I read the paper and also saw the brief audio footage of a woman with a distinct West Indian accent cursing Muslim women on a bus; or atleast this is what it seemed to be at the time.
I kept reading and waited for the dust to clear. MPACs (Muslim Public Affairs Committees) as well as other groups claiming Islamophobia (the usual bluster that is a mirage) came out into the open and immediately spewed about how England is becoming more “Islamophobic” and that Muslims need to “watch out,” doling out the hotlines and everything else to any “traumatised” Muslims.
I know what some people might say, “Well look at the racism and everything, brother Abu Ja`far. The kuffar are attacking us everywhere. Islamophobia is like normal.”
My first response would be to say that Islamophobia is a myth (this is whole other article and a whole other issue) but also to say to look at things a little deeper. As I said before, I lived in London full time and shuttled back and forth there for years, long years.
I know the Arab community, the Somali community, the Jewish community (I can get through Stanford Hill onto Seven Sisters Road faster than some people can get through their living room) and I know West Indian people. I lived among them in their neighbourhoods for years.
The whole time I was in London, I never had a single problem with a Jamaican, Trinidadian, Barbadian or any of the other people from the smaller or larger Antilles. It never happened. I have at times had arguments and a few scuffles when some of the kids were smoking marijuana in front of the masjid or when one of them said he will sell drugs wherever he wants to, even in front of my friend’s house on Avenell Road in Finsbury Park.
(This was an ugly scrap indeed in which the police had to come and break it up; fortunately for both parties, we were not arrested but instead given a firm talking to and let off with a caution. We would later make amends and come together against a more worthy opponent, namely claimants of the National Front, which we soundly defeated on even the same street. Oh, the memories!)
We also need to take a little bit of a history lesson. Jamaicans and other West Indian migrants were the first non-white people to come to the United Kingdom (either in the hulls of ships or after the war) and settle and attempt to obtain full citizenship.
There were no Somalis, Pakistanis, Bengalis in the great battles throughout England, but particularly in London’s Brixton, into the late ’70s and early ’80s. The Teddy Boys didn’t have any Arab targets but rather only Jamaicans and others from the same locale. The legislation passed in the United Kingdom regarding racism applied almost exclusively to the redressing of grievances felt by the West Indian people (Irish people had separate issues to contend with regarding their long term relations with English people).
Other people (referred to amusingly as minorities although they are the global majority) have come since then and they have been grand-fathered in under the same legislation, but they (including myself, an Egyptian) fought none of the battles, sweated none of the tears and shed none of the blood that led to legislation being passed against overt racism and different ugly manifestations of discrimination.
(how far that legislation has gone, whether it has been effective and whether or not institutional racism is a major factor in the United Kingdom are talking points that I leave to West Indians to discuss as they know best about their situation and the racism they were and are still fighting against. Much of the considerations in law I have today are thanks to them so I will not cross out of my lane and into theirs)
In the 1950s, when attempts were made by Jamaicans to move into neighbourhoods in the Midlands of England, all hell broke loose and people were injured. There were no sun down towns, but there were sun down neighbourhoods that you did not want to be caught in having melanin.
The legislation favouring homosexual couplings and recognition of them as a stated minority in law is based entirely around the legislation that Jamaicans and other West Indians fought for (even the sex trafficking legislation can be tracked back to laws concerning West Indian people during and after the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade).
Why is all of this important anyway? I say this because in the whole time I lived in London, I have never heard, seen or experienced Jamaicans in particular act in this way (especially in light of the fact that they themselves are a “minority” and have suffered immensely).
So when I witnessed these snippets in the news regarding the woman, named as Simone Joseph, 36 of Willesden Green, I was not in disbelief; but I wanted more information. This could not be all there is to the story. I know better than that.
And then lo! and behold, I gain access to more footage. This time it’s of a five minute segment. It starts just after an exchange between the two parties. If one watches the video, he or she can see that something was done or said by the Muslim women that led to a vitriolic reaction from the Jamaican woman.
In fact, for the whole five minute video, the woman keeps referring back to some event that happened and stating that she will fight back. She then makes a telling remark, “I don’t even say anything in public, until now.”
When I heard this, I knew that this was not out of the blue. The driver, who attempted in vain some three times to stop the melee, seemed to also know something that the viewers did not know, as he and Joseph were both cordial and she even apologised to him for the exchange, stating that it was not her fault.
At one point in the journey, Joseph went to the front of the bus to tell the driver something or converse with him and one of the other Muslim women involved went to put hands on her. The 36 year old promptly threatened the Muslim and returned to her place. Also keep in mind that Ms. Joseph had a baby in a stroller with her.
Having seen much more footage now, I am inclined to believe that those Muslims in the footage did something to this non-believing woman. Something was done. I can say, having lived in London and also around Jamaicans, that this behaviour is uncharacteristic.
Every day I leave the house someone makes some comment, but the verbal assailants are not Jamaicans. There was one time when a Jamaican made a comment but that was it. I am not special or even a particularly good looking fella, so there is no reason to assume that I have been accorded special treatment by Jamaicans.
I have spoken Arabic to my children around them (they have asked what language I am speaking, that’s it), eaten at restaurants that they patronise and I have not seen anything happen. Thus I knew something was wrong when I watched the tidbits of footage on the “anti-Islamic” rant.
As I have said before to Muslims, non-Muslims are not in the business of tolerating Muslims behaving badly in the Anglosphere any longer. They just will not countenance it. This video is one such example.
Simone Joseph has been charged, which was wrong. She should have received a caution or citation or some sort, the same thing her Muslim provokers should have received. Yet I somehow think the PC Rangers will not allow this to happen nor will they even allow discussion.
If things go to plan for our “Islamophobia avengers,” this woman may permanently have her record marred and be treated by employers and society at large as a racist (how could a victim of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade and discrimination throughout the UK be guilty of racism when they don’t have the slightest iota of power to exact or carry out any influence of racism to shape the world around him or herself?!)
It is precisely these miscarriages and abysmal failures that will make people who might normally be advocates for assistance to the Muslims into enemies. Heed the words of Allah that quote the Prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him:
Lord, Do not make us a trial for the unbelievers. And Lord forgive us our sins. Indeed you are the Almighty, the All Wise.
With all the paedophilia, terrorism and other cases badly behaved Muslims have foisted onto Englishmen, the last thing the Muslims should be doing in the United Kingdom is provoking the down trodden. A man or woman with nothing to lose is the most dangerous person one could encounter in a fight.
To the reader, I again ask him or her to read through the whole story and to also watch the footage carefully and see for yourself. Why would someone reference a trigger or genesis of a wrong done to them in a conversation unless that had happened?
Muslims, people in the Anglosphere are no longer willing to tolerate your miscreants. If in England you are 2 million+ and in the United States 10 million+, you should not be responsible for half or more of paedophilia or other particularly violent crimes for the past twenty years or more.
Until next time,
Al-Hajj Abu Ja`far Al-Hanbali
